2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account information: such as email address and authentication credentials when you create or sign in to an account (processed by our authentication provider).
  • Restaurant and business information: such as restaurant name, address, city, phone number, website, cuisine type, and other details you provide for your listing or onboarding.
  • Content you submit: including photos of specials boards, text messages or uploads you send to us, and extracted or edited menu or special items associated with your account.
  • Communications: messages you send to us (for example, email or SMS replies) and operational messages we send related to your account or the Service.
  • Technical and usage data: such as device or browser type, IP address, general log data, and cookies or similar technologies used to operate and secure the Service.
  • Payment-related information: if you subscribe or pay through our third-party billing partner, that partner processes payment details; we typically receive limited subscription or transaction metadata needed to provide access.

Website analytics: On public pages of the Service (not admin, restaurant dashboard, or other signed-in areas), we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate page views, referrers, and site performance. These tools do not use cookies for tracking and do not collect personally identifiable information. See Vercel's analytics privacy policy for more detail.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Create and display restaurant listings and public specials content you choose to publish;
  • Send service-related emails, SMS, or other notifications (including reminders), consistent with your consent and applicable law;
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect security;
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
  • Communicate with you about support, updates, or policy changes.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service (for example, hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics, or payment processing), subject to contractual safeguards where appropriate.
  • Public content: information you choose to publish (such as restaurant name, location, and specials) may be visible to anyone who visits public areas of the Service.
  • Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice where required).

5. SMS and messaging

If you opt in to SMS or similar messaging, message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of promotional or non-essential messages as described in those messages (for example, replying STOP where supported). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For more on consent, see our consent policy.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and your interactions with us.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to or port data. To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact us at support@WhatsTheSpecial.club. We may need to verify your request before responding.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International users

James John Group is based in the State of Michigan, USA. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
